EOV Civic League Mtg Announcement
Everyone is cordially invited to join us for our first meeting of the fall season. Mr. James Rogers, Director, Dept of Neighborhood Development, City of Norfolk, will be our guest speaker. He’ll be accompanied by Mr. Chuck Rigney, Acting Director, Development, City of Norfolk. They’ll address upcoming development activities in our area. We also welcome Ms. Joline Morgan, co-owner, Lagoon Restaurant, who has submitted an application to the City for live music; she will explain her proposal and we will vote thereafter. We meet at the EOV Recreation Center at 9520 20th Bay Street (where we vote) this Thursday (Sep 4th); start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and finish at 8:30 p.m. All are welcome so please join us! Beach and Beach Access Way Cleanup
The July 26th beach and beach access way cleanup went well — more than 15 BBP folks showed up and actively participated. Special thanks goes to Roger Eyrolles for leading this effort. Participates suggested another cleanup right after labor day and again Roger volunteered to put together a cleanup on September 6. Everyone will be notified of the September 6 specifics at a later date.

The July 2014 Bay Breeze Point BOD monthly meeting will be held on July 14th at the East Ocean View Recreation Center, 9520 E. 20th Bay St, Norfolk, VA beginning at 6:00 PM
TRAFFIC ALERT
East Beach Phase 7 is progressing. The following actions will impact your access to Bay Breeze Point in the near term: 1) Traveling North on Shore Dr and turning onto Pleasant Ave will change effective June 14th — the short turn off lane will close and you will have to go the stop light on Shore Dr to turn onto Pleasant Ave; and 2) Pleasant Ave will be closed from Shore Dr to 24th Bay St from July 21st to August 22nd to facilitate street relocation and paving.

Traffic Alert
East Beach will be milling and overlaying the street around the Fountain Park (from 4640 Pleasant Avenue to 4764 Pleasant Avenue) on Monday May 19th and Tuesday May 20th –weather permitting. A few weeks after the milling and overlaying is complete, restriping the parking areas and placing the no parking signs as previously agreed to by the City of Norfolk will be accomplished.
