Bay Breeze Point has experienced two cases of larceny from an auto in the last week: one on Dolphin Run on or about Oct 6th and one on Bay Point Dr on or about Oct 13th. In both cases, the autos were left unsecured. Please pass the word to secure your vehicles and keep any valuables left in your vehicles out of sight. And, most importantly, if you notice something strange going on, contact the Norfolk Police and let them sort it out.
The City of Norfolk has transferred recyclables collection responsibilities to a private company (TFC Recycling). Basically, nothing changes except who picks up your recycling, i.e., 1) pickup days remain the same; and 2)use the same containers, except that TFC will add its name and other items to the container. However, there’s one plus, TFC will be offering awards to those customers that register with them @ www.recyclingperks.com. See the attachment for more details.

Good news — the City has adjusted the traffic light cycle at Pretty Lake and Shore Dr. You can now get 6 or more vehicles from Pretty Lake onto Shore Dr per cycle; this will help relieve some of the expected backup during the homearama street closures. Additionally, for the duration of homearama, Norfolk Police will be on scene to take over and direct traffic if congestion dictates. Remember the worst homearama traffic will probably occur on weekends, so plan accordingly.
