A BBP resident experienced a disturbing incident on Thursday afternoon. A contractor was performing work for the resident when several individuals (driving a four door white sedan) took items from an open contractor vehicle. The contractor tried to stop the individuals and was injured in the process. Norfolk police responded. Proactive measures should be considered, e.g., when contractors are working at your home, please remind them of the hazards of leaving their valuables exposed (tools, etc.). And, most importantly, if you witness something like this report it immediately.
At around 2:45AM today, two kids were observed searching vehicles on Dolphin Run — one kid was inside a vehicle and other was trying to enter vehicles across the street. Everyone needs to make sure valuables are removed from vehicles parked outside and lock your vehicles. If you observe any potential criminal activity call the police 9-1-1.
Beginning Wednesday, March 30 through late April, Pretty Lake Ave between 25th Bay St and 27th Bay St will be closed to all traffic for water line and services installation for the new Oasis Apartments. All traffic will be detoured to Pleasant Ave.

Please be aware last evening or rather early this morning (around 2:00 am) several residential security cameras in the Bay Breeze Point community caught people in backyards and checking cars on driveways and parked on the street. Police did come around and patrolled. Camera footage has been sent to the police. If your cameras caught any suspicious activity, please send to our CRO Officer Brandon Weathers at (757) 323-0267 and advise either Jim Casey or Denise Alsina-Mayo.
